Glass more than half full--a morning with vince

This a.m. my man Vince, at Meinke Car Repair, told me that he would fix my air conditioner for this season for $100 and I could pay him on the 30th.

I am stunned and happy and waiting on my car.

He also drove me home.
His car overheated on the way and spewed out antifreeze.

I was upset.

"It's a beautiful day" he said (it is already 103 with humidity and heat).

He was a Marine.
He was a cop in Brooklyn.
He got terminal cancer in Afghanistan.
He has a gorgeous Italian wife and three wonderful kids.
The cancer hasn't grown for four years--
every day is a beautiful day.

So he makes life better for others.

I adore him.

He says he used to be "uptight"now every day is a gift--
He says he used to be uptight and critical
Now he is a man who can find a silver lining almost everywhere.

He says happiness is more of a choice
than people allow it to be.

I adore Vince
